Furthermore, putting aside personal aims, Mr. Bandara Weerakoon always gave priority to community service activities. The blood donation campaign at the Vipassana Bawana Madyasthanaya in Mawathagama was organized on his initiative. As well as community service work such as the distribution of school items among poor children, providing financial help to the sick, building houses for the poor, tree planting campaign for nature conservation, supplying tables and benches to Sunday schools, conducting a free eye camp for the people of his home town and also providing financial support and goods for the Unmatched (Asadrusha) Alms Giving Ceremonies held at the Sangamittaramaya in Kadapola, taking leadership at the annual Kapruk Puja and alms giving Ceremonies held in Anuradhapua, contributing to the building of the Alms Giving Hall, the Buddha shrine room and Stupa at the Vipassana Bawana Madyasthanaya in Mawathagama and many other community service activities were carried out by him.

Moreover, he provides all the facilities and good salaries to the hundreds of employees who assist in running his business and thereby making their lives meaningful and happy. What’s more, all the staff that who had dedicated themselves to the organization and those who currently work remembers and thanks him with great compassion.
